At this season of goodwill, what is it we would most like the EB to do?
For myself and my family I would like an acknowledgment of three things: that they caused the suicide of my uncle in1960 and brought years of anguish to his daughter and the rest of the family; that in the same year they caused my father to have a breakdown and attempt to murder my mother by telling him he had to leave her because she was a non-member, and that they forbade my aunt to have any contact with me and other relatives from 1960 until her death in 2006 at the age of 103, despite the fact that she and I were living only ten miles apart.
For countless other people my most hearfelt wish would be for the EB to tell their members that from now on they can have full contact with relatives and former friends outside the EB. They have changed their minds about computers, mobile phones and other inanimate objects in recent times. Now what about people?
Those are my dreams. What are yours?
