The only ex-peeb meeting in Melbourne is at Oakleigh Christian Fellowship Hillcrest Avenue, that runs off Huntingdale Rd.
They own their own hall and they are nearly all ex-peebs. I do not know phone numbers, but they have a meeting on Sunday either 10 or 11 a.m.You could possibly contact Graham Fysh down Carrum way, or Harry Suggate at Highett in Highett Rd.
Harry is a top man and more spiritual than first perceived being very down to earth and now nearly 90, lives on his own and loves visitors.I live in Ballarat too far.
They have a business masquerading as a church with no Biblical reference whatsoever the Brethren [are] right where they want them.

MemberJust check first that this is not the church called the Melbourne Christian Fellowship, allied with the Brisbane Christian Fellowship, part of a group of so-called restoration churches dominated by people like Vick Hall. I have read some very disturbing reports about how these churches have treated people who do not obey their leaders.
You can read about these churches and their cultish practices in Apostles of Fear by Morag Zwartz. It is a true horror story, very well written, and difficult to lay down. It is not only relevant to those who have loved ones trapped in the BCF and similar churches. It is relevant to anyone who values human rights and particularly the rights of children. It will be valuable to academic researchers investigating how high-demand organisations work, and to healthcare professionals who care for their victims.
Morag Zwartz has well and truly blown this so-called church's cover, in much the same way as Michael Bachelard did for the Exclusive Brethren.

I would need to speak to you at some length to find out if Oakleigh Christian fellowship is what you are looking for, as they are no where near as insular and sectarian as the Rentons. Though as I said they mostly are ex peebs.

UnregisteredI don’t want to turn this thread into a Renton thread (there is plenty of that elsewhere on these forums), but I noticed the mention of the Renton’s in the above post.
I agree wholeheartedly with the above poster, when he describes the Renton’s. If someone is looking for a church to join having left the Hales EB, the Renton’s would be the worst move possible.
They are just one step away from the Hales EB. They will use very devious ways to disguise their real beliefs when recruiting to tempt people to join. They are Exclusive despite what they may say face to face, they will deny that they think all other church’s are in error apart from themselves, but that is what they think and it comes out in display in their actions. The Lords table for the Communion Supper is closed to all “outsiders” and they practice “withdrawing fellowship” from any who disobey any of their “rules” or from any who choose to visit other church’s.
If looking to join the Renton’s in Australia, you will at some point run into a certain Mark Shearer. He is ex HEB and is a very hardline Exclusive Brethren “priest” in the extreme. He has caused numerous troubles within Australia and when he visits other countries such as the UK and USA. But his actions are allowed to happen.
That’s all I will say, I don’t want to turn this into a Renton Thread.

I am hearing about the Rentons a bit as well through the Forum, are you able to inform me further on their situation.
