Welcome to the peebs.net Public Forums!
This website is particularly focused on one branch of the Exclusive (Plymouth) Brethren. (For a short history of this group, read A Short History of the Exclusive Brethren.) The primary focus is on the Taylorite-Symington-Hales Exclusive Brethren. There are other groups who are considered exclusive rather than inclusive - a group known as the Renton Exclusive Brethren also feature in these forums.
Users of these forums sometimes use acronyms to distinguish the groups: HEB - Hales Exclusive Brethren; REB - Renton Exclusive Brethren. If you see EB or Exclusive Brethren, you may safely assume that this refers to the Taylorite-Symington-Hales Exclusive Brethren.
The peebs.net Public Forums uses state-of-the-art software that ensures virtually instantaneous search engine indexing - this technical concept means that these Forums are one of the most powerful ways to publicize your views. With that kind of power comes certain responsibilities.
There are two ways to participate: as an anonymous 'Visitor' or as a 'Registered Participant'. Either way, you may view all comments. Anyone may post a comment. If a Registered Participant, you may sign them with your real name or with a pseudonym. If a Visitor, your name will be shown as 'Anonymous'.
Visitors
If you do not wish to be a be a 'Registered Participant', you may still participate fully in the new peebs.net Public Forums as an anonymous 'Visitor'. To post a comment, simply scroll down to the 'Reply' Form space at the end of the below the thread to which you wish to reply. After answering an anti-spam question, you may create your contribution to the thread inside the 'Post' box. Your posted comment will be automatically signed as 'Anonymous'. (You could, however, include your real name or a pseudonym in the body of your post.)
Registered Participant
If you decide to be a 'Registered Participant', you may choose to register your real name or a pseudonym that will appear as your 'Name' next to all of your posted Comments. There are several benefits in being a Registered Participant instead of a Visitor:
(1) the ability to post multiple comments in your own choice of 'Name';
(2) the ability to create a new Topic;
(3) the ability to upload a photo or avatar to appear with your 'Name' every time you post a Comment;
(4) the option of logging on automatically whenever you visit the new peebs.net Public Forums;
(5) the ability to download shared documents; and
(6) the ability to designate certain Topics as being 'Favorite' and to receive RSS notification of updates.
Being a Registered Participant is therefore useful to persons who wish to post comments regularly and/or wish to be associated with a certain 'Name'. There are no restrictions on becoming a Registered Participant of the peebs.net Public Forums.
To register with the peebs.net Public Forums, you simply complete two steps:
(1) choose how you wish your 'Name' to appear every time you post a comment and enter that as your 'Username';
(2) and enter a valid email address. (The system will send you an initial password.)
Once you have received your Password, log in to the peebs.net Forums and update your Profile if you wish to change the system-generated password, etc)
