I have been told by two friends in completely opposite ends of England pretty much, that the Brethren in their area only pay for their shopping in Supermarket or high street shops with gift cards or shopping vouchers of some type as they are 'not allowed' to handle paper/metal money-in the past when I lived in a heavily brethren populated area they used to pay with cash if my memory serves correctly. Is this some new ruling by the head honchos of the Hales Brethren or are these some other offshoot of EBs that just happen to be the dominant group in both my friends' areas? Thanks for any insight!
They have a business masquerading as a church with no Biblical reference whatsoever the Brethren [are] right where they want them.

MemberThe gift card program has been in place since the peebs started their own schools - it's a common fund raising initiative especially for small non profit organisations (which the peeb schools in some places were when they started) but now I think all the funds raised are dumped into the Focushocuspocus bucket for the big dogs to use as they see fit.

MemberUnbelieveable, these poor people are really being hoodwinked :( I'd imagine a few years ago using electronic gift cards would have been considered being on shaky ground as they use computer systems to process them-funny how the 'Lord turns a corner' when it comes to making profits that will naturally find their way to Mr Bruce and the other top brass EBs....

The music in Australia was done by EB music groups including those within their schools. No 'outside' sources.
