In emergency – for example if you are suffering chest pains, breathing difficulties, have taken an overdose or are being attacked you should dial 999 for the emergency services.

If things are not always as bad as that you may still need help. Here are some places to go to:

The Samaritans provide confidential, non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.

We currently have 144 Helpers in 12(*) countries who are prepared to offer their love, time, experience and resources to any EB Escapee.

Peebs.Net holds full contact information for all the above and will place any current or would-be Escapee in confidential contact upon request.

If you are a member of the Exclusive Brethren and need Help or Sanctuary, there are many people who would consider it a joy and an honor to help you. Despite what you may have been told, you are not alone! Listed above are over 140 homes and people who are literally just a telephone call away.

They will respect your confidence and will protect your identity. They have offered to help in a variety of ways and all listed have direct experience with the cult - you won't have to explain a thing!

The way the system works is simple: you tell us what your situation is and give us a way to contact you. If you are a woman, we will ensure that you are contacted only by female Helpers. If you are a woman that needs shelter, the same consideration will be paramount.

We have Helpers who can help financially and also with employment. We know that the Exclusive Brethren refuse to provide references and we know the the Exclusive Brethren have denied you educational opportunities.

We are sorry, but we are unable to assist anyone under the age of 18 - unless you are a victim of physical or sexual abuse.
