Erroneously all groups or sects of the Exclusive Brethren claim total rectitude and adherence to Scripture but such claims area denial of the truth of ONE BODY and the right of each believer to sit at the Lord’s table unjudged or assessed by others-LET A MAN (PERSON) examine himself and so let him eat-Do this as a rembrance of Me says the Lord to each one who believes. The Brethren claim to be unworldly but buy expensive houses, high quality cars and turn out at the MEETING in fine clothes flaunting worldly wealth and one wonders to they give to the poor, visit the prisoner, invite others of the Body of Christ to teach them the truth of Christianity-they are so myopic as to claim that they hold the TRUTH or the doctrines of Christianity inviolate and sit in meetings speaking only to themselves, refusing the gifts which Christ has placed in His Church.
They refuse to have TV but watch it in the houses of others and in hotels and self-catering establishments-such is their hypocritical stance . They sing to God “all Thy mind we would be learning’ but are unteachable as to the width of the Gospel not seeing that no one can ever know all the mind of God. Their assumptions require to be purged and they cleansed from self-satisfied belief that they have it all-Oh Head of the Church open their eyes and let them see the great things you have done among millions of the sanctified-let them believe and be released from isolation and inferred superiority over those whom you have cleansed and are NOT UNCLEAN.
Be it soon-be it a triumph or grace and unalloyed mercy.

My wife and I were both devoted members but were ‘withdrawn from’in 1960 but have family and friends both in the Hales Group and independent of it We are now 77Years of age and live our faith’ very conservatively’

Having been associated with exclusive brethren off and on over many years I have an appreciation for some of the things you are saying.There have been times that I have felt as you have spoken. I also believe that we can not blame the Word Of God for the failures man has brought in. Paul called the Corinthians carnal and babes, this was before he even entered into the issue of fornication.There were divisions amoung them. Where did these divisions come from? Was it not because they followed men? The instruction from Paul was that “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10)

Paul did not specify what the “same thing” was but rather that they would have the same mind. The reason I believe that believers are not united is that we are not lead or taught of the Spirit. There is but one Head one Spirit, one faith etc and yet we display anything but oneness. Take for an example the Gospel, do Christians agree on what is our very foundation. Most of my life I have seen James pited against Paul (justification by faith) so as to render it powerless.
