This initiative has a potential impact that could initiate much needed change within the Exclusive Brethren. The entire focus of this campaign is to raise the awareness of communities which have an Exclusive Brethren presence. Your help is vital to assist this cause. Our families are ripped apart by meaningless doctrines and emotional and psychological damage has been caused to thousands of family members.

We ask that you view the Exclusive Brethren Meeting Room Database (available shortly) and see if there is a Meeting Room in your locality. If there is, please conact your local Municipality Authority and ask them to check the tax assessment of the property. Our firm stance is that it should not be tax-exempt.

If you know of an Exclusive brethren Meeting Room that is not listed, contact us with any information you have. We will research and process the information and add it to our Database. As information comes in, we will provide Progress Reports for any Meeting Room that has been 'adopted' by you.

We have supplied a suitable Letter Template which is fully downloadable in a varety of formats. Use the contact information if provided or simply download and mail to your Municipality.

Register below so that we can follow-up. We will contact the Municipality concerned and make sure that they realize some of the issues that many other communities are now discussing. We recommend that you also mention the existence of this site and encourage the officials to review the information here and join the international Municipality mailing list.

(Generic) 'Public Place of Worship' Tax-Exemption

I wish to bring to your attention a matter which should be of serious concern within your authority.

At [location - address of meeting room] a group of persons meet for private worship whilst enjoying exemption from paying local taxes on the basis that it is a 'Place of Public Worship'.

I attach some examples (see top of page for examples) of how they barricade their meeting rooms with high fencing all around; the gates are padlocked and, in some cases, barriers are raised from under the ground.

To get round the Law, they post a notice should anyone wish to use this 'Place of Public Worship' they need to phone one of the Trustees. I have attached some examples of these notices. I suggest you investigate this by calling the number/s yourself. You will not be allowed to visit the place without being visited several times by members of this sect to establish what your motives are in wanting to use the facility as a place of Public Worship.

This is clearly not a place of public worship.

PS. You may wish to inform the local Fire Authorities that these 'Places of Public Worship' are not only padlocked on the perimeter, ALL doors are locked from inside during all of their services. Some of these meeting rooms can seat 50 people or so but most of the others can seat up to five or six hundred members. Should there be an emergency, the Fire and Ambulance Authorities will not be able to access these premises.
